About The Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Structural Engineer/Manager to lead our Structural Engineering Wireless team. The position can be remote from UK or Europe  albeit you must Chartered in UK or Ireland.

 

The successful candidate will have a Telecoms background and be joining an experienced team working on dynamic projects for leading blue-chip clients in Ireland and the UK. They will become a key member of the Engineering team in the technical analysis and design of network infrastructure as part of our core business operation, in addition to the maintenance and development of other work-streams.

Role and Responsibilities

 

§ Carry out detailed structural analysis on steel and concrete structures

§ Ensure that Health and Safety is paramount in all aspects of design and development work.

§ Manage the delivery of the project tasks in a timely fashion. 

§ Driving and ensuring quality of deliverables

§ Responsible for ensuring cost efficient solutions. 

§ Working closely with the project managers.

§ Carry out detailed structural surveys and compile survey reports

§ Liaising with the Design Department on an ongoing basis

§ Respond to queries as they arise

§ Act as a client representative

§ Preparing professional engineering reports

§ Review project scopes to determine structural deliverables

§ Resource planning & management for incoming work-streams

§ Attending meetings with clients and contractors

§ Ensure that Health and Safety is paramount in all aspects of design and development work

§ Value engineering of solutions

 
  • Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
  • Remote - Ireland or UK based

About You

Experience and Qualifications


5 years' relevant post graduate experience in Telecoms / Construction industry

Hold a Degree or better in Structural / Civil Engineering with a Structural bias

Member of EI or other professional body with Chartered Engineering status

Design consultancy experience in telecoms and/or construction industries

Experience in the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures in compliance with Eurocodes and relevant National Standards & Regulations

Capable of working autonomously and a willingness to participate in a multidisciplinary environment

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Ability to prioritise tasks

Be self-motivated & eager to take ownership of issues and coordinate the work of junior staff

Ability to distil problems, establish evidence-based facts, determine accurate conclusions and make recommendations

Excellent IT skills including proficiency with software such as MS Word, MS Excel and AutoCAD and structural analysis tools including MasterSeries /

MStower / STAAD or similar

Knowledge of climbing or willingness to learn would be a positive but not a requirement

Hold a full clean driving licence

Excellent written and spoken English required
