This is an exciting opportunity to join the Indigo Finance team working at the Group Head Office in Magor and reporting to the Director of Finance.
Indigo is an international multi-technology service provider with a customer base comprising key players in technology and telecoms markets, including Vodafone, Meta, Google, Nokia and Orange. Indigo provides Design, Build and Support services across Fixed Line, Subsea, Wireless and Data Centre activities. The Group is growing steadily expanding globally.
Job Purpose:
Maintain a strong financial control environment to manage risk, ensure financial data is high quality, and maximise efficiency and profitability across the business.
Principle Accountabilities / Objectives:
This is a high profile role with a strong commercial focus. The role involves building close working relationships with members of the Operations, Sales and Commercial teams in order to understand activities, opportunities and challenges across the business and provide financial insight to help decision making. Main responsibilities are:
- Work with Operations teams to track and report on monthly project revenues and costs, using this information to book month end cost and revenue accruals and produce detailed analysis to gross margin level by customer and project.
- Review commercial terms of new contracts/Statements of Works to ensure the contracts are profitable and financial deliverables can be tracked and reported.
- Monitor accrued revenue and track conversion of accruals to invoiced revenue, following up on any old accruals.
- Identify and help to resolve issues with debtor payment collection.
- Identify and understand gross margin variances on activities and work with the Commercial and Operations teams to implement improvements.
- Track revenues and costs on key activities to produce forecasts and detailed financial information to support commercial decision making.
- Support on bids/costing exercises including development of business case documents for significant new opportunities.
- Drive revenue forecasting and financial planning for the business and challenge assumptions to ensure accuracy of final forecasts produced.
- Attend departmental meetings and present and explain financial data including forecasts, monthly results and variances.
- Attend customer meetings to agree commercials and invoicing schedules.
- Manage Finance system settings – ensure approval workflows are correct for project costs, keep track of project codes, help with technical issues raised by end users, identify and implement system improvements.
Other Key Group Finance Responsibilities:
Assist Group Finance with other finance tasks as needed, for example Group subsidiary reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, annual audits and tax returns, statutory accounts preparation, ad hoc reporting.

The role is based at Indigo’s headquarters in Magor (hybrid, 3 days in office).
