The Presales Service Architect is responsible for providing expert technical and service input, service design and bid support across the company's telecoms and digital infrastructure portfolio. Operating as a subject matter expert, , the role supports the sales and commercial teams in translating customer requirements into deliverable, costed, and compelling Services, in alignment with company strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Development and Bid Support
Support Sales and Operations in scoping Services that include optical technology, design, deployment and support (monitoring and maintenance) elements.
Support the development of technical Services across fixed-line, terrestrial and subsea, and associated data centre environment projects.
As Presales Service Architect, you will:
Own and oversee design, deployment and support (monitoring and maintenance) proposals.
Support the creation of technical and service input for Tenders, RFPs, proposals.
Support the Commercial Team, ensuring Services are viable, scalable and cost-effective.
Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management and Operations teams to validate and refine service components.
Customer & Sales Engagement
Help qualify opportunities as go/no go with Sales, considering input from Operations and Legal when necessary.
Work directly with the Sales and Commercial Teams to understand customer needs and develop tailored Services.
Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and workshops to represent Engineering and Delivery capability.
Act as a trusted advisor during the pre-sales process, balancing customer requirements with commercial and delivery constraints, ensuring the outcome is mutually beneficial to the customer and Indigo.
Contribute to strategic account planning.
Design & Delivery Alignment
Ensure proposed Services align with internal capabilities and delivery frameworks.
Liaise with internal subject matter experts and delivery leads to obtain accurate input for costing, timelines and resourcing.
Secure and maintain the required technical and service certifications required by the business.
Translate customer and commercial requirements into clear internal design briefs and handover documentation as part of transition from Sales to Operations.
Create supporting resourcing model to maximise efficiency and gross margin.
Commercial & Strategic Support
Contribute to the development of the Service catalogue, standardised Service templates and design approaches.
Maintain knowledge of market trends, technology developments, and competitor offerings within telecoms infrastructure.
