About The Role

  • We are seeking a Network Provisioning Manager – Subsea Optical Services to manage and coordinate the delivery of lit wavelength and spectrum‑based services across dedicated subsea fibre pairs.

    This role acts as the primary interface between customers, internal engineering teams, and external delivery partners, owning the coordination of On‑Net and Off‑Net service delivery across multiple carriers, POPs, ILAs, and landing station environments.

    You will be responsible for ensuring that all provisioning, physical delivery, testing, and handover activities are planned, sequenced, and executed effectively, while maintaining clear communication with customers throughout the service lifecycle.


    Key Responsibilities

    Customer Liaison & Service Ownership

    • Act as the primary customer point of contact for the delivery of lit and spectrum services
    • Own customer communications across the full delivery lifecycle, including:
      • Service milestones and delivery plans
      • On‑Net and Off‑Net dependencies
      • Maintenance windows, risks, and readiness updates
    • Manage customer expectations around delivery timelines, physical access, and service acceptance
    • Coordinate customer handover and transition into operational support

    On‑Net & Off‑Net Service Delivery Coordination

    • Coordinate end‑to‑end service delivery for:
      • On‑Net services delivered directly across owned infrastructure
      • Off‑Net services delivered via third‑party carriers and partners
    • Manage service delivery across multiple carriers, POPs, ILAs, and landing station locations
    • Track and manage dependencies between subsea systems, backhaul routes, and terrestrial extensions
    • Ensure alignment between customer requirements, network design, and provisioning activities

    Carrier, Field & Physical Delivery Management

    • Coordinate and manage external delivery parties, including:
      • Smart Hands and on‑site technicians
      • Field Engineers (FEs)
      • Local loop and access circuit suppliers
    • Manage physical delivery activities including:
      • Cross‑connects
      • Patching and fibre presentation
      • Testing and validation at POPs, ILAs, and landing stations
    • Coordinate access, scheduling, and sequencing of on‑site works to support provisioning timelines
    • Act as the central point of control for carrier handoffs and third‑party deliverables

    Internal Engineering & Operations Interface

    • Work closely with Provisioning Engineers to:
      • Schedule provisioning and testing activities
      • Confirm readiness of physical and logical components
    • Liaise with Architecture and Design teams to validate routes, designs, and delivery models
    • Coordinate with Operations, NOC, and Systems teams to ensure:
      • Monitoring and alarms are configured
      • Ticketing and escalation paths are defined
      • Operational readiness prior to service handover

    Documentation & Service Handover

    • Ensure delivery of complete and accurate documentation, including:
      • End‑to‑end service and route summaries
      • Physical and logical handover documentation
      • Customer‑facing service acceptance packs
    • Coordinate service acceptance testing with customers and internal teams
    • Ensure all onboarding and inventory information is captured and validated, including:
      • Circuits and carrier references
      • Fibre pairs, spectrum allocations, and routes
      • POP, ILA, and cross‑connect details

    Reporting, Risk & Governance

    • Track and report on service delivery progress, risks, and dependencies
    • Manage delivery risks across multi‑party and multi‑location builds
    • Escalate issues proactively to protect delivery commitments and SLAs
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, tooling, and customer experience
     

About You


  • Experience in service delivery, service coordination, or provisioning management within a telecoms, subsea, or carrier environment
  • Proven experience coordinating On‑Net and Off‑Net service delivery
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Optical transport and lit services
    • Multi‑carrier delivery models
    • POP, ILA, and landing station environments
  • Experience managing third‑party suppliers, Smart Hands, Field Engineers, and local loop providers
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel deliveries
  • Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management skills
