About The Role

We’re looking for a Network Engineer to support and develop our network infrastructure across on premise data centres and cloud environments.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day network operations, contribute to deployment activities, and support the ongoing performance, security and stability of our environment.  You’ll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, with the opportunity to deepen your technical capability and broaden your exposure across networking and security.

What you’ll be doing

Configuring and deploying network devices including routers, switches and firewalls
Supporting the implementation and optimisation of network and security solutions (e.g. VPNs, segmentation, access controls)
Monitoring network performance, identifying issues and contributing to resolution
Troubleshooting routing and switching issues (e.g. VLANs, STP, basic OSPF/BGP exposure)
Supporting network upgrades, patching and maintenance activities
Using monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG, SolarWinds, Wireshark) to analyse traffic and performance
Maintaining accurate documentation, diagrams and asset records
Participating in incident, change and problem management processes
Providing Level 2 support and escalation for network-related issues
Working with system, security and delivery teams to support new services and changes

About You

  • Solid foundation in networking, ideally at CCNA level or equivalent
Commercial experience working with routers, switches and firewalls
Understanding of core networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs)
Exposure to network security concepts (VPNs, firewalls, access control)
Experience using network monitoring or diagnostic tools
Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
    Desirable:
Exposure to Fortinet or Cisco environments
Basic familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g. Python)
Experience with cloud networking (e.g. Azure)
Experience supporting data centre infrastructure (racks, cabling, power)

    What you’ll get
Opportunity to work in a global telecoms environment
Exposure to enterprise-scale networks and security technologies
    Ongoing development and certification support
Clear pathway towards Senior Network Engineer / specialist roles
