About The Role

As Product Manager at Indigo, you will be the driving force behind our portfolio of services and products—defining, developing, and delivering solutions that make a real impact. You’ll work closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to craft a bold product vision, build a compelling roadmap, and lead cross-functional teams to bring that vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

People & Safety – Lead with Purpose

  • Be a visible and inspiring leader within the Sales & Commercial team, championing product excellence across the Indigo community.
  • Foster a culture where people thrive, grow, and contribute to meaningful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure every product is backed by a robust delivery model.
  • Partner with SHEQ to uphold the highest standards of health and safety across our portfolio.

Strategy – Shape the Future

  • Support the ELT in defining a clear, compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with Indigo’s purpose and market ambitions.
  • Set growth targets and revenue goals at global and regional levels, contributing to both short-term wins and long-term success.
  • Identify risks, competitive threats, and partnership opportunities that influence strategic direction.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and ensure Indigo’s product strategy is always one step ahead.

Product – Own the Journey

  • Act as the technical lead and strategic owner of the product portfolio.
  • Conduct deep competitor analysis to inform differentiation and market positioning.
  • Gather rich customer insights through research, interviews, and data to shape product development.
  • Define product requirements, user experience, and technical specifications with precision.
  • Build and maintain a dynamic roadmap that reflects innovation, customer needs, and commercial goals.
  • Manage third-party service elements to ensure seamless integration into the product ecosystem.
  • Track key product metrics to drive performance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead a virtual product team across Commercial, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations to deliver on the roadmap.
  • Orchestrate impactful product launches and post-launch refinements.
  • Champion innovation—exploring emerging technologies and trends to evolve the portfolio.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including retirement and transition planning.
  • Ensure compliance with security, systems, and ISO standards.
  • Develop a Managed Services roadmap aligned with regional growth and customer insights.

Business Development – Fuel Growth

  • Partner with Sales, Pre-Sales, Service Management, and Commercial to empower teams with product knowledge and support.
  • Ensure technical documentation and specifications are in place to support the sales lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on bids and proposals to convert pipeline into revenue.
  • Build trusted relationships with key customers and prospects.
  • Work with Marketing to elevate Indigo’s brand presence through events, forums, and strategic communications.
  • Maintain strong senior-level client engagement across projects and accounts.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and long-term commitment.

Governance – Drive Accountability

  • Represent the product portfolio in CCO governance and ELT/SLT sessions.
  • Provide timely reporting and forecasting to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure all commercial bids and proposals are product-compliant and approved.

Internal Collaboration – Unite for Impact

  • Partner across all Indigo teams to harness collective expertise and drive global performance.
  • Embrace flexibility and contribute to broader business initiatives as needed.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Delivery of global and regional product roadmaps.
  • Revenue and gross margin growth across the product portfolio.
  • Strategic investment planning and execution.
  • Customer satisfaction (CSAT) and retention.

 

About You

You’re a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach; someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, innovation, and customer value. You bring a strong foundation in product management and a passion for shaping solutions that make a difference.

  • Experienced and Proven: You have 5+ years in technical product management, with a track record of leading complex portfolios and transforming bespoke services into scalable, standardised offerings.
  • Industry Insight: You bring 2+ years of experience in transport networks, ideally across both terrestrial and subsea, and have worked closely with the Telco and Hyperscaler markets, understanding their unique demands and opportunities.
  • Commercially Astute: You possess strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align product strategy with business goals and drive revenue growth.
  • Strategic and Tactical: You’re comfortable zooming out to see the big picture, but equally confident diving into the detail when needed. You know when to lead from the front and when to roll up your sleeves.
  • Collaborative by Nature: You build and nurture excellent relationships across all levels of the organisation, bringing people together to deliver exceptional outcomes.
